Senior Cat needs final home

Looking for a forever home for a sweet, shy senior cat.  My mother-in-law lives in a duplex and the people in the other half of the duplex died.  My mother-in-law is 88 and moving into a retirement community.  She has been trying to take care of the cat since the other residents died (their family won't have anything to do with…See More

Brandy finds her final furever home

Hello everyone,I know you have been working to hard to help find me the perfect furever home and that is has been hard work, since I am a special needs dog, being blind and slightly elderly.  Well, I have some wonderful news--I get to spend the rest of my days with my wonderful foster moms!  They say I am a failed foster, whatever that means.  I know they took me to see a really nice doctor and then said I have something called cancer, so they want me to stay with them for "hospice" care.  I…See More

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.  What is essential is invisible to the eye.  Antoine de Saint-Exupery My name is Brandy and I truly see with the heart.  I am an 8 year old blond cocker spaniel and I am totally blind.  I lived in a backyard and had a lot of puppies (8 litters at least) and I really couldn’t see much.  Then, I had some problems with having puppies (not very many and some of them died), so I ended up  just pretty much being ignored. …See More

Brandy: I am a really smart dog and I am looking for the perfect furever home

I am a really smart dog.  But even as smart as I am, I didn’t understand why I was ignored and then cast off to a loud, noisy shelter.  For the first years of my life, I was a backyard breeding dog, producing lots of really smart and wonderful puppies.  But, then I wasn’t wanted anymore and I ended up living with a family that pretty much just fed me and ignored me.  I was blind and so I couldn’t play with them and I was getting older and after having so many puppies, I sometimes tinkled on…See More

Austin, TX: Brandy is "looking" for a furever home

Did you know that animal shelters can be very loud and confusing and scary?  Especially if you are totally blind, like me.  My name is Brandy and it was very overwhelming for me to find myself in a shelter.  I had lived with my family for a while, and even though they didn’t spend a lot of time with me, they did feed me (and feed me and feed me) and I had a safe house and yard to live in.  But, as I got older, I started to lose my vision and I guess they just didn’t want to deal with me…See More
