Hey guys, remember my Bully breed that I suspected was used as a bait dog? Well HE HAS A NEW HOME!!! Allison Thompson of Irving opened up her heart and home to this wonderful pet. I will be forever grateful to her. Blu is doing fantastic and Allison is lucky to have him. Now just to find homes for Fred, Ginger, and Gracie!!!!!!…
I am not an official dog rescue but my family has frequently come in contact with abandoned dogs and cats and they have brought them home for rehabilitation and re-homing. We don't like to see any dog or cat abandoned and we don't like to see any sent to the pound where they'll face euthanasia a few days down the road. But, now we face a serious problem and we're in need of help immediately. Three of the eight dogs we have rescued here have taken to getting into fights and I'm not talking…Continue
I am so excited to show these pics of Fred and Gracie. They have come a long way and I bet some people don't even recognize them.
Gracie is going into heat so I will spay her a little earlier than I would like. It is scheduled for tomorrow. She is now off of all antibiotics and anit-fungals and is only on the mange medication. She is doing fantastic!
Fred is still on antibiotics but should be able to get off of them soon. He does not look like the same dog!…Continue

Man, it has been a great week! The Mange Crew are doing fantastic! I have to say their personalities are hysterical and I would have never believed that those poor, shivering creatures could ever be happy like this. They are going to make some famillies VERY lucky.
Gracie is getting her peach fuzz more and more. She looks so funny! But at least she is not crusty anymore.
Fred is still pretty sensitive on his head, but boy is he a happy guy! LOVES people…Continue

Late Saturday evening, Patty posted the following story on our Facebook page with the hope that just maybe, someone would be able to help Remi. She was injured from an attack, blamed by her owner and surrendered to the shelter in a bloody mess. All Rescues had passed over her due to the comments posted on…Continue

It is sometimes easy to pretend the horror of dog-fighting does not exist. It is very difficult for me to believe that there are actually people out there that encourage a dog to attack and brutally kill another living being. Unfortunately, these people do exist and perform atrocities everyday.
I pulled a large, intimidating, pure bred Pit Bull from Collin County Animal Services Sunday. His right front leg was not functional and he drug it around like he had no feeling in it. After…Continue
Mom has been working with her "sugar bear" to get ready for a forever home. There has been some interest expressed in her there in mom's home town! She was supposed to leave for her trip to NH today, but it was decided that she needed to spend a bit more time with her foster mommy while some potential forever homes could be checked into a bit further!
I'll keep you updated, but it might seem she may stay right there in La Vernia (outside of San Antonio) instead of becoming a…Continue

Hello Friends! It has been a few days. Everyone is doing very well. You can barely tell that Ginger even had a skin problem. You can finally pet Gracie without feeling scabs all over her. Fred is coming along nicely and only has scabs on his face now. I could not have asked for better patients!
We got a new arrival 2 days ago. A pure bred Pit Bull was dropped off at the shelter as a hit by car. The guy that dropped him off said he hit him with his car and wanted to make sure he was…Continue
